Hizbullah Offers Israeli MK Bishara Asylum in Lebanon

Israeli Knesset Member Azmi Bishara is suspected of passing secrets on to Hizbullah, especially during the Hizbullah war last summer. And now comes word that Hizbullah is offering him asylum in Lebanon.

Where to start with this. Consider that Hizbullah is a terrorist organization and that they launched a devastating war that destroyed billions of dollars of Lebanese infrastructure, cost the lives of hundreds of Lebanese civilians because Hizbullah purposefully fought in and among civilian areas, and launched thousands of rockets into Israel to kill as many Israelis as possible.

Now, they're offering Bishara asylum becuse Israeli law enforcement and security has discovered that Bishara was passing secrets on to the very terrorist group that continues to threaten Israeli national security?
A senior Hizbullah official said Thursday that a former Arab Israeli MK accused by Israel of aiding the Shiite group during last summer's war would be welcomed as a political refugee in Lebanon.

Israel has accused Azmi Bishara of tipping Hizbullah about possible targets during the 34-day conflict when the Shiite guerrillas fired thousands of rockets towards the Jewish State.

"Should Azmi Bishara decide to seek political asylum here, we will welcome him on Lebanese soil," said Dr Ahmad Mali, a member of Hizbullah's political council.

Bishara left Israel for a tour of Arab countries three weeks ago and submitted his resignation from the Knesset at the Israeli Embassy in Cairo.

While he was away rumors surfaced that he was being investigated for a number of security offenses, but a gag order on the probe prevented access to the nature of his offenses.

After a court lifted the gag order this week, it was revealed that the former Balad MK was suspected of receiving large sums of money from a foreign agent for transferring intelligence and giving strategic advice to Hizbullah.
This isn't about political asylum - it's about prosecuting a traitor and someone who undermined Israeli national security. How many Israelis lost their lives as a result of the information passed on to Hizbullah and how many Hizbullah thugs were able to avoid being eliminated by Israeli forces as a result of Bishara's acts? Bishara's actions undermined Israeli national security and he must be dealt with accordingly.
