The Israelis continue operations in Gaza against Palestinian terrorist groups. Members of Hamas were arrested for participating in rocket attacks. This comes at a time when negotiations between Israel and Hamas are underway to secure the release of Gilad Shalit. Egypt is brokering the negotiations, and the terrorists conditions are no different than they were at the outset nearly three months ago. The Islamic terror group wants more than 1,000 Palestinians released, and all Israel gets is Gilad Shalit.
The Islamic terrorists who kidnapped Olaf and Centanni are vowing to go after others - seeking to kidnap yet more infidels.
Israel, meanwhile, accepts the inclusion of Indonesians in the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon. Those troops would be deployed by the end of September and comes at a time when the Indonesians think that the media is distorting the deaths of Muslims. Turkey is sending troops as well.

The repercussions of the war are being felt inside Israel's political halls, as Defense Minister Peretz calls for a full inquiry on the war in Lebanon.
