Ed Morrissey wonders about one of the facilities raided by the UK law enforcement overnight. It's a school on 56 acres. Rather bucolic looking, but only had nine students at last inspection. Was that facility being used to train/recruit terrorists? That appears to be the gist of the law enforcement response.
The BBC’s security correspondent, Gordon Corera, said the arrests were linked to allegations of “training camps” within the UK for people who want to engage in terrorist acts. The arrests seem to be focused on those engaged in terror training operations in Britain. It also suggests that the British intel services have managed to infiltrate the Islamist community to disrupt terror plots.
“This involves people suspected of facilitating training activity within the UK which might have allowed others to take part in terrorist activity,” he said.
British intel services are monitoring thousands of Islamists around the country, which makes sense given the threats posed by those Islamists, given their air-terror plot that was disrupted last month, and last year's bombings in London.

UPDATE:
There are some clarifications about the role of the school in the whole scheme of the arrests and anti-terror probes. Sky News reports that the school was searched, but no arrests were made at the site. In addition to the 14 arrests in connection with the raid last nite, a separate investigation led to the arrest of two other individuals in Manchester.
Dan Riehl has more details on the school, and its purported links to Abu Hamza.
