Ominous Signs for New York

What should the Washington Post census figures for 2005 tell you?

New York has to improve its business climate or more people will move away to better business climates (Nevada is a big winner in population growth at 3.5%).

The transit strike doesn't help matters either. $1 billion is tough to make up in lost revenues and tax collections. Yet, the tax collections will need to be made - in the form of higher taxes and fees to offset the losses.
