Bomb Blast In Syria Kills 17

It's a mystery. No one know who detonated a bomb in Syria that killed at least 17 people and wounded 14 more.
Syrian state television says the vehicle, packed with 200 kilograms of explosives, went off Saturday near a crowded intersection, leading to the holy shrine of Sayyeda Zeinab, popular with Shi'ite Muslim pilgrims.

Shi'ite pilgrims from both Iraq and Iran frequent the shrine, and a tour-bus was reportedly damaged by the explosion.

Eyewitnesses say the explosion created a large crater in the road, and that nearly 20 vehicles were destroyed. Windows from dozens of nearby buildings were also blown out and shards of glass littered the area.
Syria has a very tight grip on security, so this is a blow to that image. There's no clear indication who the target was, which would give an idea as to who was behind the attack. Expect the Syrians to find a way to blame Israel for the attack, even though this doesn't exactly fit the Israeli profile. Israel generally goes after terrorists and targets them specifically.

Earlier this year a bombing killed terror-master Imad Mughniyeh, and the Syrians have blamed Israel, but Israel denies any involvement.
