Time To Call Truce on Calling It a Truce

When the rockets and mortars keep slamming into Israel, it's time to call the truce over.

UPDATE:
We've seen mortars, kassams, and even a molotov cocktail tossed at an Israeli vehicle today in the West Bank. The IDF also busted a Hamas bomb making cell in Nablus.

It should be more than evident that there is no truce, and that the terrorists are still intent upon killing Israelis. It's well past time that Israel stops playing into this charade.

It's also nice to see that Foreign Minister Livni thinks that the UN SCR 1701 should be expanded and strengthened to disarm Hizbullah in Lebanon, but the time to make that happen isn't two years after the fact, but when the resolution was being written. The UN has been a miserable failure in Lebanon, and Hizbullah has taken de facto control over Southern Lebanon despite UNIFIL's presence.

It was Israel's failure to deal a crushing blow to Hizbullah in its war that has enabled Hizbullah to hang around long enough to strong arm itself into power. The Lebanese government did itself no favors by refusing to disarm Hizbullah and instead sought to accommodate Hizbullah at every opportunity.
