Gitmo Driving Detainees Insane

Drudge is going to be running this shortly....

Gitmo is driving detainees insane.

That's right folks. The jihadis who are hellbent on killing infidels and who are driven to do so out of an ideological and religious obligation, are going insane under the conditions of detainment at Gitmo say their lawyers.

Of course, what exactly are the conditions that these detainees were living and operating under when captured in Iraq or Afghanistan? Living in caves? So, getting 3 squares, cots, prayer access, and medical care constitutes a mental health crisis.

Gotcha.

This is lawfare, pure and simple.

These detainees were living day to day in the caves and mountains in Afghanistan when they fought against US and coalition forces before being captured on the battlefield.

Their lawyers are now resorting to claims that their clients can't stand trial under the tribunal system because they're going insane due to their imprisonment at Gitmo? I'm sure that they'll be able to find and pay some psychiatrist to attest to that point, but it's besides the point. The jihadis and their lawyers are seeking to exploit the law to escape justice.
