Grim Milestone Watch

A grim milestone passed this week with little fanfare in the big media. Indeed, there wasn't a run of AP stories and the New York Times didn't use the grim milestone phrasing either.

Since 9/11, there have been 10,000 terrorist attacks by Islamic terrorists.

Let that sink in a moment.

10,000.

At the moment, we're up to 10,019. And counting.

In just the past two days, the following attacks have occurred:
11/17/2007 (Mogadishu, Somalia) - Two civilians on a minibus are killed in a roadside bomber attack by Islamists.
11/17/2007 (Nangarhar, Afghanistan) - An Afghan civilian is killed by a suicide bomber.
11/17/2007 (Mir Ali, Pakistan) - A woman is killed by an al-Qadea bomb planted outside her home.
11/16/2007 (Kandahar, Afghanistan) - Taliban kill two newly-married women with a rocket assault on their vehicle.
11/16/2007 (Kabul, Afghanistan) - Religious extremists kill thirteen local police in two ambushes in eastern provinces.
11/16/2007 (Mogadishu, Somalia) - A 'street boy' is killed when Islamic terrorists attack a group of Ugandan peacekeepers.
