Why are Israelis transferring weapons to Abbas? Israel should be doing everything to stop all arms transfers, even to Fatah. The Palestinian Authority knows what it must do to get the money flowing and for the situation to improve - they must respect all the agreements with Israel, and recognize Israel's right to exist. Hamas cannot meet those basic conditions, and neither does Fatah for that matter.
Israel is still too timid in dealing with the perpetual rocket fire into Israel from Gaza. This situation is untenable. And Hamas is saying that they fired a rocket from the Nablus area (in the West Bank). No country would let this situation continue, and yet Israel has found a comfort level to operate under. Don't think for one moment that the Islamists aren't noticing this.
Israel is not making any promises that the rocket fire will not cease. What's the purpose if they're not going to eliminate the rocket fire? Palestinian anti-tank fire has also been reported, and the Palestinians have taken casualties - as have the Israelis.
Arms caches continue to be found in Gaza.
Hizbullah denies that it wants to topple the Lebanese government, although Syria and Iran might want to do that. That wouldn't take much, as Hizbullah already controls most of Southern Lebanon, despite the presence of UNIFIL. Since Hizbullah is a proxy army of Iran, it isn't all that farfetched. Syria denies the coup attempt, but let's not forget their fingerprints all over the death of Rafik Harari.
