Bomb Blows Up in Oklahoma: The Rest of the Story

Flopping Aces is all over this story, which the mainstream media is covering only as a minor incident. Apparently someone strapped a bomb to themselves and detonated too early. The person was waiting for crowds to let out after the end of an Oklahoma football game on the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman. The bomber blew himself up, and there were five injuries. Another device was spotted nearby and 'taken care of.'

Had this person managed to blow himself up as the crowds were coming out, he might have been able to inflict serious casualties.

In Oklahoma.

So, who was this person? And why should we be really worried about this?

Well, any number of odd coincidences and worrisome problems:
1) Two of the 9/11 hijackers learned to fly in Norman, Oklahoma.
2) Zacarias Moussaoui operated out of Norman, Oklahoma.
3) There are still many questions that swirl around the Oklahoma City Bombing of the Murrah Federal Building. Some still insist that there were leads that were never properly followed that might have led to Islamic terroirsts operating with Nichols and McVeigh.

In other words, this is not the first time that terrorists have operated in the nation's heartland. We need to be vigilant in secondary and tertiary areas because terrorists may use those locations to access higher profile targets, gain access to targets, and prepare without the more watchful eyes of major metropolitan areas.

The main question right now is trying to figure out who the bomber was.
