This makes you wonder whether politicans have a clue. All that money for transportation projects (or not-nearly related to transportation project), and yet nothing for security improvements.
Then, there's word that the TSA may amend its carry-on policy to allow razor blades, small knives and scissors on planes. Does anyone think this will make folks safer? The TSA is looking to improve wait-times at screening checkpoints at airports because that is a major headache when heading for airports.
Just great. It's nearly four years after 9/11 and we're witnessing the creep back to pre 9/11 views and attitudes on security despite all the evidence that we've gathered that increased vigilance is a deterrent to terrorism and that people will tolerate lines at screening because they at least make people feel safer.
