Random Islamic Terrorism Roundup of the Day

Greets and saluts from the soggy and damp NYC metro area. I see that the suicide bombers didn't take the day off in Afghanistan.

Three Afghan soldiers and an Afghan civilian were killed when a suicide bomber attempted to gain entry to a US base at FOB Bermel.

The headchoppers and bomber have remained busy in Thailand as well.
Police found the decapitated body of an unidentified man in a village known for Islamic militancy in Thailand's strife-torn south on Saturday.

In a separate incident, a bomb exploded next to two busy roadside restaurants, killing a woman and wounding 14 other people, police said.

Police Lt. Paen Promdee said the body was found in the Nong Chik district of Pattani province early Saturday morning, but that the head was missing.

Also Saturday, a bomb exploded between a restaurant and a coffee shop in Narathiwat province's Rangae district, triggered by a mobile phone, police Col. Chalerm Yingyong said.

Chalerm indicated that police also suspected Muslim insurgents in that attack.
That report ends with a claim that there was a lull in the Islamic terrorism, but that is a blatant lie - there has been no lull in the numbers of bombings and attacks. Every few days there is a report of another bombing and multiple casualties from Southern Thailand.

Meanwhile, over in Gaza, three people, including a child, were killed when Palestinian terrorists playing with bomb making materials prematurely exploded while they were working on making bombs. Three others were wounded; two of those were children.

The Egyptians found two smuggling tunnels between Egypt and Gaza, which are often used by terrorists to smuggle arms or personnel into Gaza.

Hamas takes credit for attacking an Israeli soldier in the West Bank.

In Iraq, eight people were killed in a bomb attack on restaurants frequented by government employees in a predominantly Shi'ite area.
