It is such a beautiful piece of work, and yet it describes such a horrible scene. It is the Gates of Hell, as imagined by Auguste Rodin. If you look closely, you'll note that some of Rodin's most famous works are incorporated in this piece, including The Thinker who ponders the scene around him.
