Hamas Not Running a Mickey Mouse Outfit

First, here's the video and translation for your review:

Hamas is using this agitprop to indoctrinate yet another generation of Palestinian kids to hate Israel and the West. They're using it to spread their message of hate. They're using it to spread their message of jihad.

LGF has been at the forefront of the issue, and pressure was brought to bear on the Palestinians to pull the show. Well, they said that they would pull the show, but the reality is that they have done no such thing.

And to add insult to injury, the media is taken to calling the video a call for resistance, which whitewashes the true intent. Glenn Beck has more as well, including how CNN tried to torpedo his segment on the video, claiming that the translations were inaccurate. MEMRI and the PMW not only stand by the translations, but independent experts also confirmed the translations. CNN was trying to bury the story and all the negative reaction such a story would have on world opinion.

Hamas says that the show must go on. When it comes to killing Israelis and undermining the West, nothing can stand in the way, even a little trademark and copyright infringement. What has gotten people's attention is the fact that the lead character teaching the kids the need to hate Israelis looks just like an American icon - Mickey Mouse.
The only reason this is on the media’s radar screen now is because Hamas is using an iconic American symbol of innocence to tacitly justify suicide bombings. Take away Mickey and the illicit thrill that comes with seeing him turned to the dark side and it’s a non-story. As usual.
The sad fact, as Allah points out, is that the Palestinians have been feeding their children this line for years. All they teach their kids is hatred of all things Israel and the West.
