Flooded

Flooding in Northern New Jersey and parts of New York continued today. For those along the Passaic River, it might not be before the weekend before the waters finally recede. Governor Codey has called on FEMA to declare parts of the state a disaster area so that federal aid and special programs can get in to assist affected residents and businesses.

Municipalities affected by the flooding include Paterson, West Paterson, Little Falls, Lodi, and Wayne. Overall damage in Bergen County alone may top $300 million.

I would have loved to take some photos of the scene at the Great Falls, but it is completely inaccessible from where I am because all the bridges and access roads are flooded out.
