Try as they might, the USS Intrepid barely budged. It ended up being pulled about 20 feet before getting stuck in the mud, and musuem officials are going to have to scamble to figure out how to get the ship unstuck in order to begin the restoration and dry dock activities. Divers will be sent down to examine the riverbed and see if they can determine the problem.
The next opportunity for the high tide is December 8.
