The Battle for Ground Zero, Part 166

In a positive development for the Freedom Tower's construction, state and federal agencies have signed on for long term leases on nearly half of the tower's space. The combination of state and federal agencies will become anchor tenants, which enables the Port Authority to secure more funding to get the tower built.

There's a petition afoot to try and secure one of the few remaining artifacts of the World Trade Center remaining at Ground Zero. It's a staircase that many took on 9/11 to flee from the site, but it may be demolished to make way for other structures at the rebuilt Ground Zero.
