It Was Peaceful, Between the Suicide Bombings

Another Palestinian suicide bomber managed to kill five Israelis in the resort town of Netanya.
A suicide bomber blew himself up just outside the entrance of a shopping mall in northern Israel today, killing at least five people and injuring dozens. It was the third time in more than three years that the mall, called the Sharon mall, had been the hit by a suicide bombing.

The force of the blast was gruesomely evident near the entrance, where splashes of blood were smeared high and wide across a stone wall in at least a dozen places. Shopping malls, restaurants, and other public buildings and stores in Israel employ guards at their entrances who search lines of people before they go inside in order to try to stop suicide bombers.

According to an Israeli police spokesman, Micky Rosenfeld, the bomber was dropped off at the mall near the entrance. He got in line to enter the mall. A police officer and security guard were alerted, they grabbed the man and were removing him from the entrance when he blew himself up.
Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility. With the increase in number of rocket attacks against Israel, the IDF is resuming the targeted attacks against terrorist leaders. They should never have stopped.
