Silly Season in New Jersey

Acting Governor Richard Codey wants to change the state flag.

Ummm. Aren't there more important things to be dealing with at the present time? Like trying to get the Army Corps of Engineers to finish the dam project in Oakland before the next major flood? [then again, letting the Passaic River flood gives us the opportunity to get a chuckle from things like this.]

Seriously though, New Jersey has a budget crunch, property taxes are insane, finding affordable housing in North Jersey is rediculous, and the corruption throughout state government is on Louisiana's level.

On a day when a couple thousand New Jersey residents are being told to get out of their homes because of flooding, reporters in Trenton are inquiring as to whether Codey thinks the flag is too boring.

You've got to be kidding that this is news.

UPDATE:
This reminded me of a Simpsons' Episode. It never fails. If you've thought you've seen this situation before, you probably have - as a Simpsons' episode.

Technorati: , .
