How Many Judith Millers Can You Fit on the Head of a Pin

... and why should we be asking more questions. Miller finally decides that Scooter Libby has given her the clearance to talk to the Grand Jury with less than a week left on her jail time for contempt of court. She had been given that waiver previously, but she considered that the waiver was given under duress.

What has changed? The timing?

And why is the NYT sitting on the underlying facts of this case? They have to know what is going on and yet they're not talking. And what they're saying makes even less sense now than what they were saying previously.

What is clear is that Miller had no real reason to sit in jail for contempt of court except to make some kind of statement that need not have been made but for her weird take on waivers of confidentiality.

Wizbang has more. So does JustOneMinute.

Technorati:
plame, wilson, miller, scandal.
