Say Hello To My Not So Little Friend

That gun, a .50 caliber Barrett rifle, was purchased by the New York Police Department to be mounted on police helicopters. The rifles will be used to help protect the city from terrorist attacks. The bullets fired from these rifles can penetrate concrete and has enough stopping power to take out trucks and other vehicles.

Among the other uses for the rifles is EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) use. The rifles have been used as an effective means of detonating land mines once they have been detected.

The rifles can be used for interdicting boats and high speed vehicles, including aircraft.

The stopping power behind these weapons is incredible, and gives the Emergency Services Units additional firepower that could come in handy in responding to terrorist situations.
