Iran Continues Detaining Five Americans Accused of Fomenting Revolution

Three American hikers that crossed into Iran have now been held for a year. Earlier this month marked the second anniversary of the Alaei brothers being held by the regime in Tehran after being sentenced to a 12 year prison sentence last October for fomenting revolution.

Both situations test the resolve of the US to protect its citizens from being detained by the regime in Iran.

A kangaroo court convicted the Alaei brothers claiming that they were using AIDS and human rights conferences as cover for their covert activities against the regime. The regime similarly claims that the three hikers, Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd, and Josh Fattal, were spying on the regime and hoping to overthrow Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cronies.

This Friday, a rally will be held in New York to demand Iran release the three hikers at 12:30PM, at 40th St. and 3d Avenue, NYC.
