Don Imus Announces He Has Prostate Cancer

The curmudgeonly host of WABC radio's morning talk show program, Don Imus, announced on the air this morning that he has stage 2 prostate cancer.
Controversial radio host Don Imus announced on his radio show this morning that he is battling stage II prostate cancer.

Imus, 68, known for his outspoken opinions on everything from politics to sports, offered no details on his prognosis, but added that he had full confidence "his doctors will beat it."
I wish him and his family well. Dealing with cancer is always tough, and this page goes into the classification and prognosis.

Imus has graced the pages of this blog in the past for outrageous statements, including a 2007 dustup with the Rutgers University ladies basketball team (which later accepted an apology from Imus) that cost him his job on CBS radio. Imus is suing CBS and MSNBC for their firings related to that incident.
