The Palestinian War Against Israel Never Ended

The Palestinian war against Israel never ended, it just took a deep breath. Hamas and the other terrorist groups operating in Gaza never stopped attacking Israel or plotting attacks or stockpiling weapons during the past six months.

The media and the diplomats simply ignored the kassam attacks, the mortars, the infiltration attempts, and terror attacks that occurred by Palestinians stealing construction equipment to rampage through the streets of Jerusalem. By ignoring those events, the terrorists in Gaza knew that they could continue low level attacks even while demanding that Israel maintain the Palestinian hudna since it enabled Hamas to simultaneously attack Israel and largely insulate itself from reprisal attacks.

Hamas must have stockpiled sufficient weapons, because they feel confident enough to say that the hudna is over.

Nine kassams were fired at Israel this morning, and the IDF responded against the terrorists who fired them. Five kassams were fired at Israel on Friday. Each and every one of those kassams and mortars fired at Israel is done with the intent to kill and maim Israelis. It is to undermine the resolve of Israelis living in and near Gaza.

Of course, there are people who think that Gazans face some kind of humanitarian crisis and need food and medical aid. They need nothing of the sort. There's more than enough food and aid for Palestinians in Gaza; that is when Hamas isn't busy stealing it for themselves and their goons or withholding power to push their propaganda.

The people who are trying to break through the Israeli blockade of Gaza are useful idiots. They ignore the fact that Egypt wants nothing to do with Gaza either and that the Egyptians have a similar blockade because the Palestinians have invaded Egypt and attacked Egyptians.

Israel's feckless limited response to the incessant attacks only fuels further attacks because Hamas sees the utility of attacking and simultaneously demanding further concessions all while doing absolutely nothing but plotting Israel's destruction.

Arab leaders around the region continue to use the situation in Gaza as a rallying cry to seek Israel's destruction just as they have for decades. Hizbullah in Lebanon is busy rallying against Israel, and no one bats an eye. Iran's thuggish leaders routinely proclaim that Israel's destruction is at hand and other regimes push anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda on a near daily basis.

It's not a basis for peace, but for unending conflict.
