Rangel Gets Reprieve From Washington Post

How exactly does the Washington Post say this with a straight face?
IF IT'S DEATH by a thousand cuts, the role of beleaguered Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) as chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee has 994 to go.
They want the House Ethics investigation to run its course, and that's even with Rangel having given campaign contributions at one point to Rep. Gene Green (D-TX). Partisanship will rear its ugly head once again, and if Rangel gets anything more than a slap on the wrist I'd be very surprised.

Rangel is responsible for putting together the tax laws for the nation, and Rangel has admitted to shorting tax authorities of more than $10,000, and that's just on Punta Cana villa unreported income.

There's a whole laundry list of tax dodging issues that Rangel has yet to address, and taken as a whole, suggest that Rangel is unfit to serve as Chair of Ways and Means. Yet, the Washington Post suggests that we keep things as they are.
