And Again

Hamas and Islamic Jihad are both claiming responsibility for yet another terrorist attack resulting in two Israelis killed. The shooting took place in the West Bank:
Two Israeli guards were killed Friday morning in a shooting attack in an industrial zone near Nitzanei Oz in the Sharon region. The two were in charge of checking Palestinians arriving from the West Bank. The two were identified as Shimon Mizrahi, 53, of Bat Hefer and Eli Wasserman, 51, of Alfei Menashe.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, and the Izz al-Din al-Qassam, Hamas' military wing, claimed shared responsibility for the shooting attack.

The organizations claimed that the attack’s executer was a terrorist wanted by Israel and the Palestinian Authority, who arrived at the Israeli Arab village of Qalansuwa disguised as a woman. Later on, the terrorist changed into worker’s garments and advanced towards the factory, where he executed the attack “dedicated to Gaza’s residents.”

The joint statement stressed that the attack was aimed at illustrating that as far as the Palestinians are concerned, a truce with Israel must be comprehensive and include the West Bank.
Actually, the terrorist attack once again stresses the need to rebuff all attempts at a truce and to hit Hamas and the other terror groups hard for every attack on Israel. They continue to believe, rightly so, that Israel will eventually concede and fall to their demands, so there's no reason not to continue attacking Israel, even as Israel's Prime Minister is negotiating to give away the farm and then some.

The rockets continue to slam into Israel, and even the dead can't rest quietly - one rocket slammed into a cemetery in Ashkelon, pulverizing graves.

Some Israeli officials are claiming that the latest Hamas talk of a truce is nothing but a game. They'd be right, of course. Hamas has no intention of honoring any truce with Israel. It's simply meant to give Hamas breathing space to regroup and rearm for the next phase of its war against Israel.

Meanwhile, Egyptian security is being rushed to the border with Gaza based on intel that Hamas and the Gazans may attempt yet another breach of the border.
