When army forces arrived at his house, 57-year-old Omar Jaber, the leader of the group's Tulkarem branch, tried to escape through a backdoor, but was caught by the soldiers. That would be in the West Bank, where the Fatah thugs are supposed to be capturing terrorists and fulfilling their obligations under Oslo.
A military source told the radio station that Jaber's capture so close to Passover was symbolic and brought the issue full circle for the attack's victims and for the IDF.
The bombing, carried out during the first night of Passover, killed 29 Israelis and wounded more than 150.
It is justice delayed, but not denied. Hamas still seeks to carry out attacks of that magnitude against Israel and maintains as a core tenet the destruction of Israel. To that end, it continues to participate in attacks against Israel at every opportunity.
For it's part, Fatah continues to enable terrorists to operate from territories it has civil administrative control over in the West Bank. That includes Tulkarem. Under Oslo, the PA is required to crack down on terrorist groups operating in its areas of responsibility, but the PA (and Fatah is essentially the PA in the West Bank) chooses not to do so.
UPDATE:
To reinforce my point about the terrorists and their insatiable need to draw Israeli blood, gunmen opened fire on Israeli farmers, injuring one. Also, the kassam attacks continued today.
