New Lows In Suicide Bombings

Two female suicide bombers blew up and killed more than 60 people in Iraq. That's horrific enough. Here are the details that make an already horrific situation even worse.

The two women probably had no clue what they were being told to do. Officials note that both had Down's Syndrome and the bombs were remotely detonated.

This is the face of the Islamic menace that threatens not only the West, but Muslims who do not bend to the will of the Islamists.

They target the weak, the infirm, the young, and the old to become their suicide bombing minions. Many are incapable of understanding what they're being asked to do, and several recent incidents have shown that women or children are forced into becoming suicide bombings because of perceived claims that it is the only way to restore family honor.

Car bombings are down as the terrorists have changed tactics to take advantage of the difficulties in sneaking bombs past car checkpoints.

UPDATE:
The death toll is approaching 100 from these attacks with more than 200 injured.

UPDATE:
Bryan at Hot Air distills this latest horror for those who think that this all started with President Bush (and therefore ignore more than 30 years of Islamic terrorism starting with the Iranian takeover of the US Embassy in Tehran):
I also bring all of this up in the hope that liberal readers might finally extract their craniums from their backsides and realize that whatever you think of Bush, he’s not the problem. He didn’t start the war and he’s not the cause of the jihad. Animals of the type who would blow up innocent mentally disabled women to kill scores of other innocent people cannot be reasoned with. There’s nothing to talk over with people like that. They live in a state of violent depravity that puts them beyond reason barring some massive change in their own minds. We infidels aren’t going to make that chance [ed: change?] by playing nice. We have to defeat them.

UPDATE:
Instapundit weighs in and provides comments from Michael Yon, Bob Owens and Austin Bay:
And Austin Bay emails that this may be the start of the "Terrorist Tet" he's been predicting. As Bob Owens notes, some people here at home are all-too-eager to help. Just like last time.
All too true. The media and anti-America left is more than willing to aid and abet enemies of the US once again.
