Common Sense

Israeli Foreign Minister Lipni says that there will be no Palestinian state alongside Israel unless the rocket attacks stop. How many years did it take for the Israeli government to reach that position? How many lives were lost? How many meetings with the Palestinian Authority to discuss statehood were made even as the rocket attacks continued?

It's an empty promise by Lipni unfortunately because you just know that the Israeli left is continuing to press for negotiations with the very Palestinian terrorists that continue to rain rockets down on Israel, bringing nothing but pain and misery to Israelis within range.

Sderot residents protested the government's inaction in Jerusalem and things got testy. I think Sderot residents have a right to be testy and downright pissed off at the government's failures to deal with the ongoing rocket war against Israel and Sderot in particular. Israel's government should treat Sderot as though it were Tel Aviv. Would the Israeli government tolerate rockets raining down on Tel Aviv? I think not nor should they tolerate rockets slamming into Sderot.

Meanwhile, it should be no surprise that Hizbullah is smuggling in more rockets and missiles into Lebanon under the noses of UNIFIL. UNIFIL has failed in its job of disarming the terrorist group and securing Lebanon's territorial integrity by disarming all militias operating in South Lebanon.
