You Had Your Warnings

I warned about this on August 28th when the deal to free South Korean hostages from the Taliban's grip was announced:
The Taliban now have a successful recipe that they can use on other countries to demand their departure from Afghanistan so that they can regain power in the country and restart their plans for an Islamic state from which the likes of al Qaeda can continue operating with impunity.
I've been saying this from the outset in fact, but it didn't stop South Korea from capitulating and appeasing the Taliban to secure the release of the surviving missionairies.

Now, we get precise confirmation that the Taliban intend to carry out duplicate attacks to ensure the same results (HT: LGF):
The seven remaining South Korean hostages taken captive last July by the Taliban have been released, and insurgents have vowed they will abduct more foreigners.

“We will do the same thing with the other allies in Afghanistan, because we found this way to be successful,” Taliban spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi told The Associated Press by phone on Thursday.
