Palestinian Civil War Watch

Terrorists opened fire on Haniyeh's office. But remember, this isn't a civil war until the media says so.
Gunmen opened fire on Monday at the office of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, while he was inside the building meeting with other cabinet ministers, an official in the office said.

"We are taking fire," the official told Reuters, saying the cabinet meeting had been suspended and blaming the the attack on Fatah gunmen on a rooftop. Fatah had no immediate comment. There were no immediate reports of any injuries from the incident that came four hours after a shaky truce was declared to end a bout of factional fighting.
Note the delicious irony of that last sentence. This latest truce, which itself was only the latest of dozens of such truces, was violated within hours by the terrorists who simply can't control themselves.

They want to kill each, and a piece of paper isn't going to stand in the way of that goal.

And yet, the Palestinians have managed to improve their time-management skills to the point where they can fight amongst each (at the Ministry of Youth no less) other while lobbing kassams against Sderot or get into gunfights with the Israelis. Of course, the security fence which has limited the Palestinian terrorist ability to kill Israelis with suicide bombers and car bombs is blasted by Amnesty International because AI clearly sides with the Palestinians who are inconvenienced by the fence and checkpoints and ignores that a failure to secure Israel's borders might mean Israelis are killed - the permanent deprivation of their human rights. Figures. Especially when such checkpoints manage to uncover ammo being smuggled.

UPDATE:
The latest Fatah-Hamas fighting has resulted in eight dead and 25 wounded. Just another day in paradise - and this time the violence happened inside a Gaza hospital.
Most of the fighting took place inside a Palestinian hospital in Bet Hanun, the sources added.

Fighting between Hamas and Gaza rekindled Monday afternoon- shortly after a truce was declared.

The violence began as Hamas gunmen shot and killed Fatah operative Louie el-Massri in a Gaza City skirmish.

In response to his slaying, members of Massri's family decided to exact retribution by attacking a Hamas position Beit Hanun, north of Gaza. Two Hamas men were killed in the reprisal.
No wonder Palestinians are thankful they're taken to Israeli hospitals. They don't have to worry about being killed by other terrorists.

It is time to put the whole notion of a truce to rest. The Palestinians are fighting a civil war, and the truces are ignored faster than the thugs from each side can write up a new version.

UPDATE:
Hospitals are not safe. Neither are mosques. Heavy fighting has been reported in all kinds of locations around Gaza. They don't consider the sites holy or off limits. Civilians are fair game as well.

UPDATE:
The Palestinian terrorists have taken to defenestrating their foes. Throwing their enemies to their deaths off the roofs of skyscrapers. It's such lovely stuff.

UPDATE:
17 dead so far today.
After sundown Monday, gunmen, apparently from Hamas, laid siege to the house of Jamal Abu al-Jediyan, the senior Fatah official in northern Gaza. They then dragged him outside and killed him, security officials said. Medics said he was hit by 45 bullets.

Al-Jediyan was a top aide to Gaza Fatah strongman Mohammed Dahlan and al-Jediyan's brother was also killed, apparently in the same shootout.

Fatah spokesman Maher Mikdad harshly denounced the killing and threatened revenge.

"What is this, if not a war," he said.

Fatah called on its members to target all Hamas political and military leaders.

The bloodiest clashes of the day took place in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. Fatah and Hamas gunmen exchanged fire near Beit Hanoun Hospital, killing a Hamas supporter. The battle then moved to the hospital, where three men from a Fatah-allied clan were shot dead.

At Gaza's largest hospital, Shifa, combatants fired mortars, grenades and assault rifles.

Two other Palestinians were killed in battles late Monday night in northern Gaza, security and hospital officials said. Later, Hamas said one of its men, who was kidnapped earlier, was found dead in a Gaza street.
The participants in this civil war know it's a war, and yet the media is reluctant to call it such. Why?

And the barbarians could care less about civilian casualties - and everything in sight is fair game.
