Updating British Air Terror Plot

It's all in the family for brothers who are under arrest in the British terror plot. There's also increasing links between the July 2005 London tube bombings and the instant terror plot. A number of people arrested crossed paths with the 7/7/2005 bombers in Pakistan. Neighbors thought the suspects were just a bunch of normal folks. Well, that makes it all the easier to fit in unsuspected.

At least 17 of the suspects had ties to Pakistan.

The US continues to hunt for links with the UK terror plot. Specifically, US security officials are worried about a Plan B cell:
Chief among US concerns is the prospect of a "Plan B" attack by US-based or other foreign operatives moved to action by the break-up of the UK cell, officials said.

"These are desperate, vicious people who have a good degree of sophistication, and they're out there, so if nothing else, the danger is that they're available for future operations," said Peter King, chairman of a congressional committee on homeland security.

"The more deadly threat is that there is a Plan B that they would be able to implement."
The high terror alert status will continue in the UK.

The NYT reports that Pakistan's assistance is a double edged sword. They're able to provide assistance because so many Islamic terrorists call Pakistan home, and Pakistan continues to export jihadis to other parts of the world.

Should there be a greater emphasis on prescreening of passengers, to expedite the travel process?

Pajamas Media has a roundup.
