Open Mike Night

Apparently someone left an open microphone and video around where someone claiming to be Osama was hanging out and made a tape.
In a new tape posted on the Web today, Osama bin Laden reasserted his role as the planner of the Sept. 11 attacks and declared that Zacarias Moussaoui played no role in the 2001 plot.

Mr. Moussaoui was sentenced on May 4 to life in federal prison for failing to warn American authorities of the 9/11 attacks. He had told jurors that he had conspired with Richard Reid, the would-be shoe bomber, to pilot a plane into the White House on the day of the hijackings, but American intelligence officials have said there is no evidence to support that claim.

Though a technical review of the tape was incomplete tonight, an American counterterrorism official said the speaker appeared to be Mr. bin Laden. The tape includes English subtitles and a still photograph of the Al Qaeda leader in front of a plain white wall.
Mac Ranger notes that this is the best Osama can do - make videotapes while his lackeys and minions get tossed into prison or killed on the battlefields or after being flushed out from behind women and children that they use as human shields.

AJ Strata wonders how long it will take before the left wingers come out in defense of Moussaoui and say he's been unjustly imprisoned, wrongly accused, and claim that he's a political prisoner becoming a cause celebre for the Hollywood elites. And he notes that it didn't take long at all to get the DUers into a tizzy.
