The local ABC affiliate in NYC, Channel 7, just led their 11PM broadcast with more tapes from 9/11 - with images of the WTC burning as the tape of a scared woman describing conditions in one of the towers.
Melissa Doi, 83d floor, South Tower. Murdered by Islamic terrorists on 9/11/2001. That was followed by a tape of Kevin Cosgrove, 105th floor, South Tower, who was also calling 911 for help on 9/11/2001. The tape of Cosgrove catches the moment the tower actually collapsed under Cosgrove. The time stamp from Cosgrove's last communication was 10:59, the moment that the towers collapsed.
As the tapes played, ABC panned over still images of the burning towers, and faded superimposed pictures of Doi and Cosgrove over the towers.
These two tapes were part of the ongoing Zacharias Moussaoui case, and the prosecution used them in today's wrap up to the damages phase. The jury will have to determine whether to impose the death penalty or not.
