The Havana Wall

Fidel Castro is a master of media manipulation. So it's no surprise that he went bonkers when the US Mission in Havana finally did something that not only stole Castro's thunder, but probably made Castro wonder why he didn't think of it first.

The US mission assembled and used a huge electronic billboard tickertape wrapping around part of the building to provide news and updates on world events. This was the backdrop for a demonstration arranged by Castro to complain about the US.

Since Castro didn't take kindly to being upstaged, Castro has undertaken the construction of a wall to hide the US mission from the view of Cubans living within the viewable range of the mission.

Fidel Castro - tear down that wall.
The only thing you have to fear is the free-flow of information.

Others blogging Castro's wall: Gateway Pundit, Babalau Blog, Cuban American Pundit and Uncommon Sense notes what should be the quote of the year:
"To those who may want to be here, we respect your protest. To those who don't want to be here, excuse the bother."
