Real estate prices are insane, but this story takes the cake. The buyer bid $84,000 more than the ask price on a house, and lost the bidding war to someone else who bid even more; and there were 51 other bids on the house. The final price went $121,000 over the asking price ($549,000).
Oh, and the house is a two bedroom deal. That's right. A 2-br home for that eventually sold for $670,000. Can you say insane? I knew you could.
I guess thank goodness I'm not house hunting in Los Angeles. That makes my situation seem downright tame.
