The Jihadist Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree

As Michelle Malkin, and LGF's Charles Johnson note, Mohammad Atta's actions are completely in line with dear old dad's worldview. Dad thinks jihad is a glorious goal - and we're not talking about the personal struggle kind, but the building destroying, mass murder kind.

Atta Sr. still clings to the BS that his son wasn't responsible for 9/11, but (and there always is a but) has built a shrine to his son with all kinds of 9/11 related materials. His son, the jihadi superstar, now gives him the ability to fund jihad for others out of the money that media outlets drop on this guy.

And we all know that jihadis with money are a dangerous thing. If a bomb goes off somewhere that was paid for out of money given to Atta, that means that the media is complicit in funding terrorism.

Atta Sr. also thinks that we're in the midst of a 50 year war - a jihad against the West. He's probably right on that count. However, his timing is off a bit. The war started in 1979 when the US embassy was invaded by Iranian fundamentalists and the US did not respond with full force and effect - setting up the whole strong-horse/weak-horse pablum. We're in the middle of this war, and have been for some time. It was only after 9/11 that the fight was taken to those who are fighting this jihad, but we have still not taken the gloves off.

It is impolite to name those involved as Islamic terrorists - jihadists. They're called gunmen, bombers, and not terrorists by the media who strip all related words of their meanings to gloss over the gruesome details of what these Islamic terrorists are doing in the name of their religious beliefs.

And it is their religious beliefs that fuel their rage. Make no mistake of that. Root causes? Try religious fundamentalism that sets up the US, Israel, and the West as the source and end-all of all things wrong with Arab society. If only none of those things existed would the Arab world be ascendant goes their line of thinking.
