Hundreds of thousands of Lebanese have come out to protest against Syria on the four-week anniversary of the death of former Prime Minister Harari, which sparked the calls for Syria to completely withdraw from Lebanon.
So far, Syria has redeployed some of its troops, but continues to maintain its presence in Lebanon. The intelligence agents have not been withdrawn.
One has to wonder, though, about the description of the protests. It was only a few days ago that the same paper was describing the pro-Syria/Hizbullah demonstration as the largest demonstration, even though it was apparent that the protestors were bussed in from Syria and Palestinian refugee camps, and not a spontaneous demonstration. The pro-freedom groups have tremendous turnout without having to resort to such trickery.
It makes you wonder who is doing the reporting for the Times and whether they're doing all that is possible to get the story.
