The Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. If the cathedral looks particularly luminous in the late afternoon light, your eyes aren't deceiving you. The French government has recently completed a restoration and cleaning of the exterior, which has revealed the true color of the stone used in building it.

Photo of the Day
Just a gargoyle at Notre Dame hanging around watching Paris for a couple of hundred years. He's been watching the Seine flow past and the crowds mass in the parvis in front of Notre Dame. He's seen everything from the parade of kings and royalty pass through the doors to the revolutions and reign of terror. Lots of stories to tell in that stony demeanor.
