The mega-star singer has reportedly ended a deal to sell an exclusive version of her album "Born This Way" at the big-box retailer because of the store's political donations to an anti-gay candidate.
"She and Target didn't see eye to eye on Target's policy of political donations and how they affect the LGBT community," a source told The Advocate.
Target was blasted by gay advocates last fall when it donated $150,000 to MN Forward, a political action committee that backed failed Minnesota Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer, a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage.
Emmer's campaign previously had donated to a Christian rock organization that supports violence against homosexuals.
Requests for comment from Target representatives were not immediately returned.

Kudos to Lady Gaga for putting her principles over dollar signs. She intended to distribute her new CD exclusively at Target, but has canned the deal over Target donating campaign contributions to anti-gay candidates.
