Restaurant Review: Zinburger of Clifton

Zinburger is a chain that finally opened a location in Clifton, New Jersey. Its focus is on burgers and good pairings with wine and beer.

It does this exceedingly well.

We were there last night and the place was packed. A modern/contemporary space welcomed us in and the bar was quite active. While we could have waited for a table, we decided to eat at the bar. Not only was it good for people watching, but it makes for good conservation with others who are coming in.

I ended up ordering the Zinburger without cheese, while Mrs. Lawhawk ordered the Kobe burger. Both came out exceptionally well. Indeed, they were mighty fine burgers. They were incredibly tasty and were a good size for the price.

The well stocked bar includes wine by the glass at multiple price points that are quite reasonable and numerous options for beer.

I'd heartily recommend Zinburger for anyone looking for a good burger, good wine, and a good time although there is some room for improvement. While there are great beef burgers and even a turkey and vegetarian option, the restaurant could truly explore burgers with a bison burger - perhaps offering up a sliders appetizer allowing customers to try the regular burger, kobe burger, and a bison burger.

The Record had covered Zinburger January 6, when they detailed the restaurant's process for making the burgers and that the restaurant plans to have patio dining in the warmer weather.
