New York and New Jersey Voter Turnout Lags National Midterm Averages

Maybe it was the lack of meaningful and competitive statewide races, but New York and New Jersey lagged the national average for the midterm elections. The figures provided by George Mason University are preliminary and don't count the absentee and provisional ballots, but the New York and New Jersey figures are pretty close to where the final numbers and percentages will be.
