Former President Jimmy Carter became ill on the flight into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport today.

The plane landed and he was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center.

No report on his condition has been made available.

Carter came here for a book-signing at 1 p.m. today at Joseph-Beth Booksellers at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst.

About 500 people were waiting for Carter at noon. Many had been in line for hours.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

UPDATE:
CBS News is reporting that Carter got airsick, but that his condition is stable and that he'll make a full recovery.
