On August 14 and 15, all national parks are waiving normal admission fees and granting free entrance to all park visitors. Entrance fees usually run $20 to $25 at the country's most popular national parks like Yosemite and Grand Canyon. Some parks, however still require paying fees of one sort or another, including the Statue of Liberty, which requires a ferry ride, or Mount Rushmore, which requires a parking fee.
Still, there's no better way to see the nation's grandeur and vision for protecting the national heritage.
