Disgraced Democrat Monserrate Expropriates Obama Logo For Campaign Bid

This is exactly the kind of thing we've come to expect from the disgraced New York Democrat Hiram Monserrate. He's gone and used President Barack Obama's logo and slogan in his own election campaign bid to regain the seat that was previously his.

The State Senate kicked him out after he was found guilty of a misdemeanor assault of his girlfriend. A special election is to be held, and this is what Monserrate has come up with. Organizing for America, Obama's campaign group that was folded into the DNC, isn't sitting back:

But Organizing for America, the grassroots group that's become the Obama arm of the Democratic National Committee, wants to stop Monserrate.

"The use of the logo is neither approved nor supported by Organizing for America. The campaign did not seek nor do they have permission to use it. We are asking them to remove it from their materials," said a spokesman for Organizing for America in a statement first reported by Politico.

A Monserrate spokesman didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Given how Monserrate has little to no regard for the law or his constituents, it isn't surprising that he's more than willing to use Obama's logo as his own.

Here's to hoping that Monserrate's constituents send him packing and don't vote him back into office as he's responsible for turning the circus quotient in Albany up a few notches in just the past year.
