Photo of the Day

Crazy Horse Memorial, taken using my Canon Rebel XTi with the Tamron 28-300mm XR Di VC (image stabilizer).

The Crazy Horse Memorial is being built with solely private money. The federal government had offered to provide $10 million towards completion, but Korczak Ziółkowski, the sculptor, refused to take the money. His wife and family continue to lead the effort to build what will become the largest sculpture in the world. Crazy Horse's face is 90 feet tall, as compared to the 60 foot high faces on Mt. Rushmore.
