Well, businesses are always looking for synergy, and the sports world is no exception. I find this one a bit hard to swallow, given that I'm a huge Yankees fan, but also hate the Dallas Cowboys - I'm a Giants fan after all.
The Yanks are forming a joint company with the Dallas Cowboys to handle merchandising of the two teams at their new stadiums. The new entity, Legends Hospitality Management, will likely expand to work with other pro teams and college programs.
The Yankees, often called the Evil Empire by haters (often disgruntled Mets fans or Boston fans), is the richest sports franchise on the planet, worth well over $1 billion (including the YES network), and is approached only in worth by the Dallas Cowboys.
