The Secaucus Boondoggle Rolls On

Yesterday I got to experience yet another wonderful fault of the Secaucus Transfer courtesy of New Jersey Transit.

I had to pick Mrs. Lawhawk up at the station, and there is absolutely no signage pointing out to drivers where to pick up or drop off passengers. You approach the Transfer by car from Seaview Avenue, and there is no signage noting that one turn off is for buses only, whereas the second turn is for cars and taxis.

With the nearly $1 billion spent on the Transfer and the adjacent Exit 15X from the New Jersey Turnpike, you'd think that someone would plunk down a few thousand to put up the appropriate signs enabling drivers to know where to go.

That's not the only part - the signage inside the Transfer telling customers how to get to the customer pickup/dropoff area are lacking as well.
