Bruno Goes Bye Bye

New York State Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno is calling it quits, effective this Friday. After 32 years in the Senate representing Rensselaer County, and 14 years as majority leader, he's calling it quits.

Of course, this is not simply a retirement and a ride into the sunset.

The possibility of a perp walk is present, as Bruno's activities are being investigated by the FBI for criminal wrong doing over his business interests and ties.

Bruno has managed to maintain a GOP hold on the State Senate, even though Democrats outnumber Republicans statewide. That could change in November, as the GOP holds a razor thin advantage in seats but several state senators are considering retirement.
