So Much For the Undiscovered Amazon Tribes

I didn't run with this story when it originally came out because something didn't quite seem right.

Well, it turns out that the hyped story about the discovery of lost tribes in the Amazon was nothing less than a publicity stunt to attract attention to the issue of logging in the Amazon.

The media didn't even bother to question the story, and instead fell for it. Until now, that is.
THE man behind photos of warriors from an "undiscovered" Amazon tribe that were beamed around the world has admitted it was a publicity stunt aimed at raising awareness of logging.

Nice. (HT: Jammie)
